February 4, 2013 16:04:49 IST
Last Updated : February 4, 2013 16:14:39 ISTNew Delhi : Japan’s ALL Nippon Airways or ANA has reportedly held discussions with at least two Indian carriers.
Although no announcements regarding the talks have been made yet, Spice Jet officials have said that some investors have indicated interest.
The company however refused to name any carrier. Spice Jet which currently flies to 42 destinations and seven foreign cities swung to a quarterly profit at the end of 2012, mostly helped by higher fares.
India’s No 2 budget carrier, controlled by the politically connected media baron Kalanithi Maran has been looking for global suitors ever since the change in foreign investment law.
An ANA official on Friday denied that it is in talks with Spice Jet or Mumbai based GO Air for stake purchase.
