Salman Khan declared innocent in hit-and-run case of 2002

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court declared Bollywood actor Salman Khan innocent in the hit-and-run case of 2002.

The order came after the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the actor. Pronouncing the verdict, Justice A.R. Joshi said Salman cannot be convicted on the basis of evidence submitted by the prosecution.

Meanwhile, security has been stepped up outside the Bombay High Court.
