Sushma Swaraj still opposes Sonia Gandhi as PM

Leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushman Swaraj said that she still not ready to accept Congress chief Sonia Gandhi as the Prime Minister of the country and will protest against such moves if it is repeated in future.

?Being Prime Minister is different and I will never accept a foreigner to be the Prime Minister of the country, India must decide who will become the Prime Minister of the country,? Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader, Sushma Swaraj said in an interview to NDTV?s ?Walk the Talk?.

?It hurts my sensibilities and hurts the sensibilities of the Indians,? she added.

Speaking on her earlier statement, in 2004 Sushma had said that she was ready to shave off her hair if Sonia Gandhi became the Prime Minster of the country, she said that her feelings has remained unchanged.

She said, ?This was my duty towards the country, that has not changed and that will not change and if even today that thing is repeated then I will also repeat the same vows.?

However, Sushma mentioned that she and Sonia are only ideologically different and are not enemies of each other.

?In opposition we are not enemies, we are only ideologically opposed to each other, that is opposition towards policies,? she said.

She also mentioned that Sonia Gandhi has changed a lot as far as the ?personal relationship? level is concerned.

?Earlier, she was quiet, she never used to speak and very rarely she smiled. She was not much interactive, but now she interacts, she speaks,? Swaraj added.
