Police officers here told IANS they were in touch with their counterparts in Rajasthan and Maharashtra to ascertain facts pertaining to the deaths of two locals in these states.

Sunday witnessed hundreds of people joining the funeral procession of another local, Parvaiz Ahmad Teli, 35, who was from Qalamdanpora (Nawa Bazaar) in the old city area of Srinagar.

Teli was a salesman in a Kashmiri arts shop in Bangalore. He went to Mumbai to meet his relatives 15 days ago and went missing. His family said Maharashtra Police said they discovered Teli’s body July 9.
