Bangalore  : Eight Karnataka ministers loyal to former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa quit Friday to pressure the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to remove the present incumbent, D.V. Sadananda Gowda. Initial reports had said that nine ministers had quit.

“We waited all these days for decision of our high command. We cannot wait any longer. Hence we have submitted our resignations,” Public Works Minister C.M. Udasi said after handing over the letter.

“Eight ministers submitted the resignation to the chief minister. Some more ministers will also meet the chief minister to give their resignations,” he said.
