BJP president Amit Shah talks about Bodoland development in Assam

Kokrajhar (Assam) : Speaking at a rally in Kokrajhar in Assam, Bhartaiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Wednesday spoke about how Bodoland could be developed.

BJP president Amit Shah said on Wednesday that ”If the BJP forms a government in Assam, it will end illegal infiltration from Bangladesh”.

He spoke at length how February 10 is a historic day for Bodoland, as today is the day when an accord was formed for the peace and harmony in the state.

He said BJP and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) joined hands only for the Bodoland development. He added that the NDA Government wants prosperity of Bodoland, which the Congress had failed to provide.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has only been taking care of his own needs. Shah stated that BJP would bring about an over-all development in the state, shah said.

Shah said that “One crore people live below the poverty line in Assam. Thirty-six percent have no access to electricity. The number of unemployed stands at 23 lakh now.
