17 militants killed in Pakistan

At least 17 militants were killed Friday by security forces in two separate incidents in the country’s northwest tribal areas close to Afghanistan, media reports said.

Three Pakistani troopers and three pro-government militiamen also died in the clashes, Xinhua reported, citing media reports.
