Hot day in Delhi, pleasant weekend in store
It was yet another hot day in the capital Thursday with the maximum temperature settling three notches above average at 28 degrees.
The day’s minimum temperature was recorded at 13.5 degrees, two notches above average.
The humidity levels wavered between a high and low of 90 and 37 percent respectively.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites can expect a pleasant weekend in store as after a series of hot days, temperatures may drop from Friday.
“The western disturbances which were blowing over the capital and caused the mercury to rise are expected to move away Friday. So, the temperatures may come down,” said an IMD official.
The IMD further said that skies will remain clear and sunny Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover round 26 and 11 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday’s maximum temperature was recorded five notches above average at 30.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.8 degrees, two notches above average.
