DD vs KKR : KKR win by 18 runs to enter into the Final
Pune : Striking batting by Yusuf Pathan and discipline bowling of Narine and Kallis makes Kolkata Knight Riders to win match against Delhi Daredevil by 18 runs at The Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium in Pune on May 22, 2012.
Narine and Kallis have taken 2-2 wickets by giving only 24 runs in their 4 overs. Balaji, Shakib Al Hasan, Iqbal Abdulla and R Bhatia have taken 1 wickets in their overs.
Jayawardene has made highest 40 runs in 33 balls. He had made 58 runs partnerships with Ojha but both have thrown their wickets in crucial time.
Virendra Sehwag (10 runs) and Warner (7) failed to give good opening for Delhi Daredevil while Venugopal Rao, Taylor, Negi couldn’t able to maintain required run rate.
In other hands, KKR had won toss and choose to bat first but decision doesn’t seems in fever when Kolkata Knight Riders starts was not good. KKR had just made 106 runs in 16 overs with loss of 4 wickets but then Yusuf Pathan (40 runs in 21 balls) and Shukla (24 runs in 11 balls) have made highly required partnership and added 56 runs in 25 balls.
Yusuf Pathan become man of the match for his crucial innings.
