‘Ishkq In Paris’ important for Preity and me: Designer Surily Goel
Designer Surily Goel says that Preity Zinta’s debut production venture “Ishkq In Paris”, where she has experimented with lots of scarves and overcoats, is important for both her and the actress.
“It’s an important film for both Preity and me. I think she is looking amazing. She has really worked on herself. There is a lot of layering in terms of scarves and overcoats in the film,” she said.
“Ishkq In Paris”, directed by Prem Soni, also features Arjun Rampal, French actress Isabelle Adjani and the new actor in the movie is reportedly TV actor Gaurav Chanana, who has been renamed Rhehaan.
She also worked in movies “Kaal”, “Salaam Namaste” and “Ta Ra Rum Pum”, among others, as stylist and talking on the basis of her experience says it’s wrong to categorise Bollywood stars on their dressing sense as they all have something unique about them.
“I don’t think there is anyone in particular who is best dressed. Everyone is dressed well and have their own stamp and USP. Kalki (Koechlin) has a nice off-beat experimental way of dressing which is nice, Sonam (Sonam Kapoor) is good with couture,” Goel told IANS.
Apart from her Bollywood engagement, Goel has recently unveiled her new line ‘Revival’ and says that the collection has lot of “neon colours that creates a new trend in fashion world”.
“It’s a resort collection comprising trendy range of jumpsuits, corset dresses, playsuits and long dresses. It has a lot of neon colours like yellow, green and aquas,” she said.
The designer, who started her career in 2003, feels that the fashion industry has changed for the best.
“The fashion industry has evolved over the years. A lot of people have done a lot of fresh and exciting things. Designers like Manish Malhotra and Monisha Jaising are taking Indian fashion to international levels,” she said.
