B’day boy Salman exempted from appearing in court
It seems Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s 47th birthday would now be more peaceful and happy since a Metropolitan court today exempted the actor from appearing before it in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
The Bandra metropolitan magistrate granted exemption to the 47-year-old actor, on an application made by his lawyer Dipesh Mehta on the ground that the Bombay high court had already granted him permanent exemption.
Earlier in the day, Khan, before the decision of exemption had stated that he had planned to celebrate his birthday that was coinciding with the court hearing, in a quiet manner.
Meanwhile, his fans across India celebrated as the Bollywood superstar known for his gravity defying stunts and inspiring physique turned 47.
