Two-percent charity at PSUs

At a recently held conference in New Delhi, shocking information was revealed about political misuse of two-percent charity fund allowed from profits of pubic-sector undertakings. Political rulers (concerned ministers) misuse camps for ?public-welfare schemes? set up out of their charity-funds by putting advertisements, hoardings, banners etc with their photos for these camps.

There should be a rule that public-sector undertakings may not be allowed to put photos of living personalities in any of their advertisements or publicity campaigns. Rather it should be a rule for even government-departments in tune with Dr Manmohansingh?s desire while taking oath as country?s Prime minister.
