I love Bollywood: Romanian Secretary

New Delhi : India is almost like home for First Secretary Romanian Embassy Silviu Bucur. And he says he loves Bollywood and apparently for the film industry Romania is like an unexplored treasure trove.

Romania?s Indian Ambassador Valerica Epure says the country has a long rich heritage. It is known for its beautiful art work, palaces, historical remains and forts. River Danube is the longest river flowing in Romania and is 2nd longest river in Europe after Volga.

From a booming tourism trade to the parliament building being visible from the moon, Romania?s unexplored treasures, can prove to be best option for shooting any Bollywood flick which craves for extravagant locations, she says.

She says apart from the vibrant and varied location to explore, Romania?s renowned wine, which will be shortly available in India because of the Indian firm Great Waves, is also another reason to visit the country.

Rajbir Singh of Great Waves, an ardent fan of Romania, says two Bollywood movies have already been shot in Romania.

Sanjay Dutt starrer Dost, which unfortunately could not get released, and the Salman Khan starrer Kyunki. Salman Khan was apparently very happy shooting his film in Romania.

With contacts between the two countries and civilisations that can be traced back several centuries, Romania?s virgin capital offers a lot for everybody from the Indian traveller to the Bollywood movie buff.
