Honour killing: Young couple?s bodies found
Sirsa, Haryana : In a suspected case of ?honour killing?, the bodies of a young couple were recovered from cotton fields in Phoolkan village of Haryana?s Sirsa district.
Reports said on Sunday that decomposed bodies of the young man and woman were found on Friday night.
The victims were identified as Inder Pal, 22, and Maya, 18. They were reportedly in a romantic relationship, to which their families were opposed.
While Maya was a student, Inder worked as a labourer in the fields.
Inder was forced to marry another girl a month back by his family to break his relationship with Maya.
Local police officials said Inder and Maya were missing from the intervening night of September 17-18 and their bodies found a week later.
“It seems they were hit by some hard object or a baton to kill them. We suspect a case of honour killing,? police said.
