Prince Charles arrives for Commonwealth Games

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall arrived here on Saturday on a three-day visit to to attend the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010 Delhi.

Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman Organising Committee received the royal couple here.

Earlier this year, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, asked the Prince to represent her at the opening of the Commonwealth Games.

Indian President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil and Prince Charles will declare open the 19th Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi on Sunday (October 3).
In addition, the Prince will spend time with athletes from a broad cross-section of Commonwealth countries.
