Kingfisher’s Delhi flight hits bird

A Kingfisher Airlines flight to Delhi with about 120 passengers on board returned to the Mumbai airport after hitting a flying bird on Friday, aviation and airport police said.

The Mumbai-Delhi’s IT 331 flight had taken off for Delhi at around 6:15 am but returned to the airport after being in the air for nearly 15 minutes.

There was no apparent damage to the airplane as the experts and engineers were still checking for final clearance.

The five-star airlines company was, however, arranging another aircraft to carry the stranded passengers, the safety checking officials said.
