Two Moaists die in encounter in Chhattisgarh
Raipur : Two Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in a dense forest in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said on Wednesday.
Inspector General of Police Rajesh Mishra said the gunfight took place late Tuesday when police came under fire of the ultras in the jungles near Kotapalli village.
A rifle and proscribed literature of the outfit were recovered from the spot.
In another incident, Maoists attacked a passenger bus which was carrying some securitymen in Bijapur’s Usoor village.
The jawans inside the bus returned the fire following which the rebels fled.
A girl was injured in the cross fire.
