50 killed in Pakistan mosque blast
Peshawar : In another deadly suicide attack, at least 50 people were killed and more than a 100 were injured during Friday prayers at a mosque in northwest Pakistan?s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa near the tribal region on Friday.
The dead included 11 children, reports said.
A Geo TV report said that the blast occurred in Darra Adam Khel, a suburb of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa capital Peshawar.
The spot is about 140 km west of the Pakistan’s capital Islamabad.
People were leaving the Waali mosque after Friday prayers when the attack occurred.
A BBC report said the bomber was on foot and he blew himself up at the main gate of the mosque when the people were coming out of the mosque.
The Pakistani Taliban could be behind the attack in the tribal region since they have a stronghold in Darra area.
