Guangzhou has ‘skill’ to host Olympics: Jacques Rogge

Guangzhou : International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge on Saturday said that Guangzhou has the “skill” to host an Olympic Games.

“Guangzhou definitely has the skill to do that,” the Olympic Chief told Xinhua when asked about the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games host’s ability to host an Olympics.

Rogge attended Friday’s (November 12) Opening Ceremony of the 16th Asian Games.

“Guangzhou would have the expertise and experience from these Games,” said Rogge, who described the Opening Ceremony as “absolutely fantastic”.
