Air Chief PV Naik visits Czech Republic
New Delhi : Air Chief Marshal PV Naik recently visited Czech Republic on invitation of their Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces.
Naik is Chairman, Chief of Staff Committee (COSC) and Chief of the Air Staff (CAS).
The visit was significant in terms of fostering country-to-country ties and increased military co-operation. During his four-day visit the Air Chief met the Czech Defence Minister and Deputy Minister of Defence for Foreign Affairs.
Areas for enhancing defence co-operation, co-operation between defence industries including transfer of technology, technical assistance, training and co-production, and bilateral contracts in military sphere by training and exchange of information were discussed.
The Air Chief also visited the Czech Technical University – a hub of R&D activity where a lot of research work is being done for cutting edge military technologies.
The delegation also visited the NATO centre for excellence of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Training and Development.
