Paes-Bhupathi move Australian Open final
India’s Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are on road to win the Australian Open title in Men’s double as they triumphed over second seeded Max Mirnyi (Belarus) and Daniel Nestor (Canada) in the semi-final encounter on Thursday.
The third seeded Indian duo surprised their opponents defeating at ease 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3. The Indian pair, playing together after nine years, have never won the Australian Open.
The Indians will now meet dangerous Brian brothers- Mike & Bob in the Men’s double final.
Earlier the Indian Express, as they are popularly called, defeated the French-Siberian pair of Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic by 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinal clash.
