Industries to get PDCC loans

The Pune District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd (PDCC) will provide financial assistance to industries following increase in its deposits by Rs1,167 crore in a single year. Addressing newspersons on Tuesday, chairman of the bank Digambar Durgade said that by March 2009 the bank had deposits of Rs4,285 crore which increased by Rs1,167 crore to Rs5,452 crore by the end of March 2010. Government says it will tap phones of tax evaders

Your phone can be tapped if the government thinks you are evading tax. Home minister P Chidambaram clarified in Parliament on Thursday that government agencies were fully authorised to tap the phones of suspected tax evaders.
