Pakistan needs moral revolution: Imran Khan
Former Pakistan captain and cricketing legend Imran Khan said the youth of Pakistan do not have role models and that the people in the country need moral revolution to avoid the crisis the country is undergoing.
?Youngsters do not have very good role models to follow in this country,? Imran remarked.
?Pakistan has corrupt leaders who are setting bad examples for the society,? he added.
The World Cup winning skipper of Pakistan also said that the people in his country need to undergo a moral revolution.
According to media reports, Imran is completely shattered to hear about the match fixing fiasco and the involvement of Pakistani players in it.
He also informed that during his time no bookie dared to approach him.
?Pakistani cricket should not be banned,? he said to a poser whether the team should be banned for a certain period of time for committing such a crime, reports stated.
?Pakistan cricket should not suffer for this,? he added.
Earlier, all hell broke loose after the British tabloid exposed a scam paying 150,000 pounds to bookie Mazhar Majeed, who revealed how three no-balls would be delivered on Thursday and Friday at the exact points in the final Test match at the Lord’s.
Majeed, who was also arrested by the Scotland Yard police and later released on bail, had offered money to the players for bowling a no-ball.
UK tabloid The Sun also reported that Pakistani players rigged the opening Test against England at Nottingham, which the hosts won by a massive 354 runs.
A report claimed that the Pakistani players were found with cash exceeding their allowances during a Scotland Yard raid on Saturday night.
