The squad comprises of players like Don Bradman, Wasim Akram, Adam Gilchrist, Malcolm Marshall.
The squad comprised the names of seven players who had made their debut in International cricket after 1970.
Wasim Akram, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne and Sachin tendulkar are the only players in the squad who had started their career in the last two decades.

The world jury member who selected the squad comprised the names of former captains of each of the Test playing nations like-Ian Chappel, Clive Lloyd, Tony Greig, Ali Bacher,Ajit Wadekar and others.
The jury members also comprised of cricket historians and writers.
