In Afghanistan’s northern province of Kunduz had a clash on Tuesday, in which 12 people are killed. In 12 people, two policemen and 10 militants were involved.
“The clash erupted in outer sides of Dasht-e-Archi district on Tuesday after militants attacked a security forces’ unit in the area. At least 10 militants were killed during the clash,” Xinhua quoted district governor Sahd-u-din Sahdi as saying.
Two policemen and 15 militants were injured in the fighting, the governor said. Over the past month, district has faced many scene of clashes. The security forces are trying to clear the area of Taliban militants.
The Taliban has recently intensified attacks as the militant group tries to take territory and consolidate its positions ahead of winter.
