Osmania students attack ministers? Jaipal Reddy, Sabita Indra Reddy’s house
Hyderabad : Pro-Telangana students on Tuesday tried to storm the residence of Union minister Jaipal Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Home minister Sabita Indra Reddy over the ?Free Zone? issue.
At least 15 students of Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUSJAC) alleged tried to storm the minister?s residence.
But the attempt was foiled by the police and the students arrested.
The OUSJAC had given a bandh call for all educational institutions on Tuesday to protest the scheduled recruitment test for the posts of Sib-inspectors in Hyderabad city next month, which was put off by the government on Monday.
The pro-Telangana lobby wanted the written exams to be postponed till the Presidential Order treating Hyderabad as ‘Free Zone’ is amended as per resolution passed by the state Assembly.
Meanwhile, a fast-unto-death undertaken by seven students of OUSJAC at the OU Camps here entered fifth day.
