After recession IT jobs opening in India
India’s IT firms are set to recruite nearly 100,000 software professionals this year, according to National Association of Software and Service Companies, the apex body in the industry in the country..
It said India?s IT firms, including Tata Consultancy Services , Infosys and Wipro , are looking to employ about 90,000 this year, compared with only around 20,000 last year when they were forced to curtail expenditure after the global economic crisis began in December 2008.
Recruitment firms said the sector witnessed the highest-ever job creation in September, with staff strength growing by 50 per cent, similar to pre-recession levels.
?This is the highest hiring growth recorded in the IT sector since recession. We expect similar momentum till November since companies will be required to complete their annual hiring plan before next year,? a published report quoted E Balaji, director & president, Ma Foi Randstad, as saying.
Apart from looking to serve new projects with fresh recruits, companies were also beginning to build bench strengths for future business.
