Air India pilots serve ultimatum for salary ?

Mumbai, Feb 9 (IBNS): A section of Air India pilots has threatened to go on strike from Thursday evening unless their salary for the month of January was not paid to them by 5 pm on Feb 10.?

The ultimatum comes after the management’s reported move to delay payment upto Feb 14 for January’s salary.?

“We want our salaries be paid by 5 pm on Feb 10,” or else “We will go on strike immediately after that,” Indian Commercial Pilots Association General Secretary (ICPA) Capt. Rishabh Kapoor told reporters.

“We are being pushed to decide for such action after the management has already deferred the salary twice this month,” he said. “This is ridiculous and this not acceptable to us.”?

On Tuesday, Air India said a cash crunch may delay payment of salary for January to its about 30,000 employees to Feb 14 instead of proposed Feb 10.
