Honda Amaze Reviews : Honday Launches Its Maiden Diesel Model in India
The master trickster never reveals the best card on the first draw. When Honda officially announced that it is going to introduce its maiden diesel model, Honda Amaze, to the Indian automobile market, it revealed the amazing mileage of 25.8kmpl that the model is designed to render. At the same time, the Honda spokesperson also made it clear that the purpose of designing and developing an extremely fuel-efficient model was to grab the largest share of the aspiring four-wheeler buyers in India, who are generally characterized by their mileage-craziness.
It then seemed that Honda has revealed its best card, and there is nothing big or extraordinary to wait for when the model finally hits the road. Honda had mentioned that this new diesel model is going to feature a 1.5L i-DTEC engine that would be able to deliver a power of100ps at 3600rpm at a maximum torque of 200ps at 1750rpm, making it the most powerful and the fastest car in the sedan segment. Now that the model has been launched today, and CarDekho is already done with the Honda Amaze review, we find that the data disclosed by the Honda spokespersons was accurate.
As assumed, the Honda Amaze truly has the potential not merely to put tough challenges to other cars in the same segment, but to grab their shares of the automobile buyers to convert them into its potential customers. Though the exact Honda Amaze price was not revealed earlier, there were hints that it will be available at a very competitive price range. And so it really is. As it was launched today, its Delhi Ex-showroom Delhi price has been mentioned as ranging from Rs.5.99 Lacs to Rs.7.60 Lacs.
True, the mileage that the Honda Amaze diesel model offers, the power its engine renders, the competitive price range it is available at, make the car literally Amaze-ing. However, didn’t we know all about it when the first official announcement about it had been made? Any Honda Amaze preview would have given you the detail. So, where’s that final blow that will drive the potential car buyers crazy about possessing this model the moment it is launched? What’s that stronger punch that makes the car-crazy people even crazier? How does it feed the expectations of those who have been eagerly waiting for its launch, even though most of its amazing features had already been revealed?
Honda that showed the guts to plan a new plant worth Rs.2500 Crores in India at a time when the sales figures in the automobile industry have been declining for five successive months, should not be underestimated. What we had assumed to be its best card that it had already revealed, was good enough to win. However, it still kept its best card hidden, which has been revealed today, when the model was unveiled.
The look. A single glance at it; and the attempted quick look will turn to a long stare in awe and admiration. The Honda Amaze diesel model variants come in three colors – majestic blue metallic, urban titanium metallic and carnelian red pearl. The prominent character lines running along the length of the car add to its elegance, while the chrome front grille, the alloy wheels, the ORVM turn indicators, the fog lamps, and the rear combi lamps catch every pairs of eyes it passes by. You cannot but feel proud to be at the steering while you watch the admirers’ stares at your vehicle.
Again, it was not the triumph card. What will blow the minds away is its spacious, and yet, richly equipped interior. The front windshield absorbs heat and keeps the interior cool. The audio controls are conveniently set in the steering, so that you do not have to stretch your hand to reach out to them. The driver seat height can be adjusted. With the USB and Aux-in attached to the left of the driver’s seat you can make the best use of your iPod during drives. You can tilt the electric power steering according to your convenience. The ABS withEBD enables steering even while brakes are applied.
This is the most ideal car for you to go for long drives. Honda Amaze perfectly justifies its tagline ‘badle aapki duniya’ by redefining the world you find inside a car. While you drive with your friends or family accompanying you, the drink holders in the rear armrest, the handy rear as well as front door pockets and the spacious glove box will make you feel as if you are in a portable drawingroom. The 400-litre boot space is as good as a storeroom attached to your car. It has been strategically designed, so that you can accommodate everything you need while traveling. Considering the Honda Amaze features, along with the ambiance and feel it provides, Honda Amaze is a ‘home on wheels’.
