Honda Brio AT to Hit Indian Market in Mid-October

After a lot of speculations, rumors and impatient wait Honda finally brought something new to Indian markets. However, it’s not a diesel variant of any Honda car but yes, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCI) is gearing up to roll out the Honda Brio Automatic variant in the Indian market by mid-October. The Diesel variant of the car is still not confirmed, but to push the sales Honda has decided to slip in the Automatic version of this peppy car.

Though the steep in petrol prices have already taken a toll on the sales of petrol cars, Honda is still going ahead with yet another petrol variant in its lineup. But the current trend is in favor of hatchbacks and AT version will certainly help Honda for sure. We expect the AT version of the Brio to be offered in ‘E’ and ‘S’ variants because the top of the line ‘V’ variant could be omitted from the Automatic line up as it will come as a very expensive option for the segment Brio hatchback caters to.

The Brio Automatic will likely to compete with other B segment cars like the Hyundai i10 Auto and the Maruti Suzuki A-Star AT.  The Honda Brio Automatic hatchback will hit Indian shores by mid-October 2012 to spice up the festive season.
