Indo-China trade to exceed the $60 bn by Dec?

Mumbai : Indo-China bilateral trade is set to exceed USD 60 billion by December, said officials here on Friday.

One of the biggest platform for Indian and Chinese entrepreneurs to interact with each other, the ?China Products (Mumbai India) Exhibition? is to be held here for the eighth time from Nov 25-27.

This global, annual event has facilitated striking of deals, joint ventures and signing of major contracts between Indian and Chinese businessmen leading to long term partnerships and business worth hundreds of crores between India & China.

?Today, China is India’s largest trade partner and India-China trade has already reached $45 billion in the first nine months of 2010, a 50 per cent increase over the same period last year and is set to achieve $60 billion by the end of this year,? said organizers.

An extensive range of products varying from industrial to consumer goods would be displayed by exhibitors from various provinces of China, thus providing a great opportunity for Indian industry to interact with relevant Chinese counterparts.

The exhibition will serve as a platform for the Indian Industry to explore long-term business associations with the Chinese companies in the form of tie-ups, joint ventures, collaborations and import-export trading relations.

The trade show is being organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Sub-councils of Commercial Industry, Guangdong, Ningbo and Hangzhou.

The Exhibition is supported by the All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and the India-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCCI) and managed by Worldex India.
