The net profit of Infosys Technologies Ltd rose by a marginal 2.47 per cent at Rs. 1,780 crore in the third quarter, ending December 31, 2010 from Rs. 1,737 crore recorded during the corresponding period of the previous year.
India’s No 2 software service exporter said its revenues for the quarter stood at Rs. 7,106 crore against Rs. 6,947 crore in the previous quarter.
The company revised its revenue upwards for the entire year from Rs. 27,170 crore to Rs. 27,481 crore. The earnings per share for the year was revised upwards from Rs. 117 to Rs. 118.90.
Chief Executive Officer S Gopalakrishnan said, ?The weaker economic recovery in developed markets coupled with high unemployment and risk of sovereign default could impact Industry growth.”
