JSW Steel records 8% growth

JSW Steel Ltd, one of the lowest cost steel producers in the world, has reported an 8% growth in Q4 of FY 2010-11

JSW Steel Limited reported highest ever quarterly crude steel production of 1.72 million tons in Q4 of FY 2010-11 & highest ever quarterly production of 1.32 million tons of Rolled flat products.

The company?s crude steel production for FY 2010-11 was 6.51 million tons, showing a growth of 9% over FY 2009-10.

During the quarter the company has commenced operation of its Sinter plant-3, Converter-4, Castor-3 and heating of balance two blocks out of four blocks of Coke Oven-4 as a part of 3.2 MTPA expansion project at Vijayanagar Works, while Blast furnce-4 is in the final stage of completion and testing.

JSW Steel Limited is engaged in manufacture of flat and long products viz. H R Coils, C R Coils, Galvanised products, auto grade / white goods grade CRCA Steel, Bars and Rods.

Incorporated in 1994, it has grown to US $ 5 billion in fifteen years.

JSW Steel Limited has the largest galvanizing and colour coating production capacity in the country and is the largest exporter of galvanized products with presence in over 100 countries across five continents.
