Mercedes delivers luxury buses in Kolkata

Kolkata : Auto major Mercedes-Benz delivered its first two and three axle luxury buses to two transport operators in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Jai Dada Movers Pvt Ltd & Kaushik Global Logistics Limited became the first owners of the Mercedes-Benz luxury buses in Eastern India.

Ram Avtar Dayma, (Chairman – Jai Dada Movers Pvt Ltd) and Sanjay Singh, (Chairman – Kaushik Logistics Pvt Ltd) were handed over the keys to the first luxury buses by Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, along with Piyush Arora, Director Technical, Mercedes-Benz India.

Mercedes-Benz introduced its two-axle luxury coaches in the last quarter of 2008 & the Multi-axle coaches at the Auto Expo in 2010 in the Indian market.

Both two axle and three axle buses have been utilized and well appreciated by both by private and government transport organizations who have been impressed with comfort & safety, overall cost of operation and robustness of the products.

The company sold over 64 buses in 2010 till August.
