Kolkata : India is all set to witness a trade fair, focusing on construction, in Mumbai in February 2011, titled ‘BC India 2011: A Bauma Conexpo Show’, said the organizers here.
The trade fair will aim at establishing itself as an exhibition for construction machinery, building material machinery, mining machineries,commercial vehicles and allied industries.
“Conexpo is set to establish itself as the international trade exhibition for construction machinery, building material machinery, mining machinery, commercial vehicles and allied industries,” Thomas Loeffler, CEO, BC Expo India Pvt. Ltd said at a press meet on Monday.
“The visitors of the show therefore will have the opportunity to see and compare latest technologies and innovations from manufacturers from all over the world. This will set a positive stimulus for the demand of new equipment in order to improve construction performances,” he added.
Speaking on selecting Mumbai and India as the point for organizing the event, Loeffler said: “We want to bring it in India as the market potential in this country is huge.”
“Mumbai is centrally located and easily accessible, besides being the economic hub of India,” he added.
Around 460 exhibitors from more than 28 nations will participate in the event.
Nine countries, which include Australia, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain and UK, will have their pavilions at the Conexpo.
Companies like Caterpillar, Doka, Greaves, Kirloskar, Mahindra and Mahindra, Peri, Sandvik, TIL, Wirtgen will be participating at the Conexpo.
BC India is a joint venture between two international trade show organizers-Messe Muenchen International, organizer of Bauma and AEM, organizer of Conexpo-Con/AGG.
The event will be held at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai from Feb 8 to 11.
