Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer iBerry, better known for its tablet computers, Tuesday announced the launch of its first smartphone in the Indian market, at an introductory price of Rs.15,990 ($265).

Auxus Nuclea N1, as this smartphone is being called, will have this introductory offer over a 10-day pre-booking period beginning July 13 following which it will be priced at Rs.18,000, the company said in a statement.

The pre-booking goes live on our Website www.iberry.asia as well as on online portal ebay.in,” the company said, adding that with this launch it would also open more than over 400 service centres across India, with the list on display July 13.

The 5-inch smartphone uses what is called a one-glass solution for slim and sleek look with features such as gesture control, voice unlock and magnetic sensors. It has a 13-mega pixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and li-ion battery of 2800 mAh.

“Typically, Auxus Nuclea N1 comes bundled with four colour variants in the box, which means users can choose the colour panel they want to use on a given day on the basis of the occasion and costume,” the company said.

For those familiar with technical specifications, it has a MT6589T Quad core Turbo 1.5 GHz processor with Full HD 1080p resolution of display and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU clocked at 357MHz for tremendous gaming experience.

Auxus Nuclea N1 is also equipped with active matrix display. This means each pixel of the display is individually controlled to provide a sharp image at wide viewing angle, so that users can have a different and unique viewing experience.
