Sony eyes 55% market share this year

Kolkata : Digital major Sony India is targeting sales revenue of Rs. 130 crores and capture 55% market share this year, said the company on Tuesday.

This will be a whopping 45% growth vis-?-vis sales achieved last year.

Sony has allocated a budget of Rs. 11 crores to achieve these targets through an aggressive multi-media communications campaign. This would include Print and Online Advertisements, Hoardings, Promotional offers, Shop-front and Mall activation activities.

Buoyed by the aggressive pace of growth, Vijay Singh Jaswal, Branch Manager, East, Sony India said, ?Relying on our strong product-line up, stronger marketing strategy and robust sales network, we hope to increase our sales this festive season substantially from last year?.
