Srei BNP Paribas targets Rs 1,500 cr business

Kolkata : Srei BNP Paribas, a 50:50 joint venture between Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd. (SIFL) and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions (BPLS), is targeting to generate business over Rs. 1,500 crore from the unique customer engagement and incentive programme called Khul Ja Sim Sim.

In the first half of the current fiscal 2010-11, Srei BNP Paribas has done a disbursement of over Rs 5,100 crore, compared to last year?s corresponding figure of Rs 2,400 crore, recording a mammoth increase of 213% in six month?s time, a top company official said.

Srei BNP Paribas CEO DK Vyas said on Wednesday: ?We are optimistic of mobilising over 2,000 customers through our pan – India network of 86 offices and are expecting to disburse over Rs 1,500 crore pan India through this marketing initiative. We are hopeful of disbursing around Rs. 500 crore at IMME at the event itself.?

On future prospects of Srei BNP Paribas, Vyas said that the Company has already started financing Technology Solutions (financing of IT equipment, software and services) and has effectively partnered with leading global IT vendors for financing their customers.

?We have also forayed into financing of new Equipment classes: Agriculture Equipment, Healthcare Equipment, Office Automation, Equipment in Education sector etc. With its foray into new equipment classes, Srei BNP Paribas has become probably the one and only Company to offer complete Equipment Solutions,? Vyas added.
