India-Japanese car venture Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) closed last month with 79 percent sales growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company sold 16,659 units last month, up from 9,308 units sold in February last year.
“We have seen good sales last month across all our products. The Etios series continues to lead the sales. New Innova and New Fortuner are registering good sales numbers.
With the increased production capacity and our expanded dealer network, we are now able to reach much closer to our customers, which has helped us in increasing our sales,” Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director marketing, said in a statement.
The Etios series continued to lead the growth with 8,027 units. The Etios sold 4,590 units as compared to 2,786 units in February last year. The Etios Liva followed with 3,437 units sold last month.
The New Innova and New Fortuner sold 6,271 units and 1,346 units respectively. The Corolla Altis sold 996 units, the company said.
