25-year-old jumps to death from eighth floor in Delhi
New Delhi : A 25-year-old medical degree holder committed suicide by jumping from his eighth floor office here Monday, police said. His suicide note said his body organs should be donated.
Gaurav Patil, a resident of Nashik in Maharashtra, jumped from the balcony of his office in Ashoka Estate building on Barakhamba Road around 9.40 a.m. He died on way to hospital.
“I have gone through all truths of life, now I am going for a journey in search of real truth,” read Patil’s suicide letter, written in English.
“I thank to the people who helped me to know about the facts of life,” it added.
Posted as a consultant with a health information and consultation company since June, Patil lived in Patel Nagar here with his friend Ankit, who also worked in the same company.
Ankit told police that Patil had recently been reading philosophical books.
Patil completed his MBBS course in 2010 from Mumbai and did MBA this year. “After completing his MBA he got the job in Delhi,” a police officer said.
