A 56-year-old American national was arrested on Wednesday from the New Delhi airport for carrying a live cartridge of an automatic weapon, media reports said.
Daniel Jon Starks, CEO of a U.S. medical firm, was detained while his baggage was being checked at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for a flight to Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh.
Apparently on a business trip to India, Starks was carrying a multiple-entry visa and produced a U.S. arms license when confronted.
However, since the license was not valid in India he was taken into custody.
