Israeli embassy official critical but stable: Doctors

An Israeli embassy official injured in a car explosion here Monday was “critical but stable”, doctors attending on the woman at Primus hospital in south Delhi said.

“Tal Yehoshua Koren has suffered multiple injuries. She is in the operation theatre and is likely to undergo a spine surgery,” N.D Khurana, medical superintendent at the private hospital located in the diplomatic area, told IANS.

“She is critical but stable,” Khurana said, adding that the woman was brought to the hospital around 3.30 p.m.

Koren is the wife of the defence attache in the embassy and an employee. The others injured are her driver Manoj Sharma (42), and two other people Arun Sharma and Manjeet Singh who were travelling in another car. The three injured are admitted at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in central Delhi.

The blast took place at 3.18 p.m. at Aurangzeb crossing in the city.

“The men suffered injuries on the face and are under treatment,” said an official from RML hospital.
