MBA student crushed to death

A 25-year-old MBA student on a scooter was crushed to death by a rashly driven truck in Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad Tuesday, police said. The truck driver was arrested.

Mansi Sharma, a second year MBA student from SIMS Institute on Meerut Road, was killed when a truck ran over her in Kavi Nagar around 1.30 p.m.

Mansi, a resident of Sanjay Nagar, gave tuitions to students at her home to support her family. Her father Anil Sharma died of cancer four years ago.

Around 1.30 p.m., Mansi was going to Shastri Nagar to take tuitions and fell on the road with her scooter. The speeding truck crushed her moments later. She died on way to hospital.

Truck driver Vijay Kumar was caught by people.

“Driver Vijay Kumar, a Badayun resident, has been arrested. The truck has been impounded,” a Kavi Nagar police official said.
