New Delhi :?Union Minister for Labour & Employment ? Mallikarjun Kharge chaired a crucial tripartite meeting in New Delhi Wednesday to review the actions taken in cases of the reported violent incidents in the industrial units in Delhi and National Capital Region in the recent past.
The meeting deliberated on this issue of labour unrest to work out a solution to prevent such occurrences in future.
States? Minister of Labour from Delhi and Haryana, Labour Commissioner Uttar Pradesh, representatives of Workers? Organisations (BMS, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, AICCTU, NFITU, LPF and UTUC) and representatives of Employers? Organisations (FICCI, CII, LUB, ASSOCHAM and CIE) participated in the meeting.?
?Kharge underlined the need for realistic implementation of labour laws. He stressed that industrial progress is impossible without industrial peace and harmony.
