Delhi Metro will conduct a drill at six busy stations Wednesday to check if its staff is ready to deal with disasters. Passengers have been told to avoid the stations during the exercise.
The mock drill will be conducted at the AIIMS, Inderlok, Karkardooma, Tilak Nagar, Khan Market and Dwarka Sector 10 from 11.30 a.m for about half hour, a Metro statement said.
The drill will be supervised by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
“The aim of the mock drill is to check how well Metro staff can manage, coordinate and be ready during any kind of disaster, whether it is natural or man made,” a Delhi Metro official said.
