Pakistani spy held in Delhi
New Delhi : A 39-year-old Pakistani spy who had lived in Kolkata since 1992 has been arrested here with “incriminating documents”, police said Tuesday.
Kamran Akbar alias Attar alias Asif Hossain, originally from Karachi, was caught Feb 13 night near the New Delhi railway station.
“He was residing in Kolkata since 1992 and arrived here Feb 13. We have recovered from him secret, sensitive documents related to (Indian) defence affairs,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Chand.
The Pakistani was reportedly recruited by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency in October 2004 and began spying in June 2007.
