The week started off on a pleasant note in the capital with the minimum temperature Monday settling four notches below average at 11 degrees Celsius. The Met department forecast light showers later in the day.
“The skies would be partly cloudy towards evening. There is a possibility of light rains and thunderstorms in some parts of the city later in the night,” said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 31 and 13 degrees Celsius, added the official.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 69 percent.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average for the season, while the minimum was four notches below average at 9.6 degrees.
