Supreme Court orders submission of Niira Radia’s tapes

New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the Government to provide the original tapes containing the conversation between corporate lobbyist Niira Radia and others.

The SC’s bench comprising justices GS Singhvi and AK Ganguly asked for all original documents, records and tapes/CDs to be produced in sealed covers, saying those would be kept in the court custody for use in future in connection with the case.

The order was passed in the wake of apprehension that the tapes might be destroyed and the government statement saying it was willing to handover to the court all the documents.
