Akademia International School launched in Kolkata

Kolkata : Anand Education Trust, a city-based foundation, on Tuesday announced the launch of Akademia International School, a co-educational, K-12 Day Boarding school in south Kolkata.

The school is affiliated to both CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) and CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations). It will commence its first academic session in March 2011 for admissions in 3 year Montessori programme and Grades 1-7.

Each class will have a maximum of 30 students. A broad range of subjects will be taught at Akademia, with a special emphasis on learning Indian and foreign languages.

Speaking on the occasion, Rt. Rev. P.S.P Raju, Chairman, Akademia International School, said ” We are certain that our school will stand out with its well trained and seasoned faculty and outstanding infrastructure that will help our students in personal development and self grooming.”

The school’s motto, ‘Ingenio et Labore’, is a Latin phrase, which means ‘by natural ability and hard work’.
