COMEDK 2018- Single Exam for all Private Engineering Institutes

Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) was started by Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation as simple concept to Unify Private Engineering into a single exam 3-years ago, however now it has turned into 25 Universities and 150+ institutions accepting scores. About 1,25,000 students are giving this online exam all over India from 140 cities and 400 test centers. COMEDK has grown in strength over 3-years and has become the second largest multi-university private engineering exam in India.

COMEDK conducts two exams – COMEDK UGET 2018 and Uni-GAUGE for admission to streams like Engineering, Technology and Medical at the Undergraduate level. Previously these exams were being conducted as two separate exams. COMEDK UGET is conducted as an offline entrance exam in Karnataka whereas, Uni-GAUGE E as an online entrance across India. On May 13, 2018, these two exams will be conducted on the ‘Same Day’ during the ‘Same Session’ and as ‘One Combined Exam’ for admission to B.E./ B.Tech courses.

What is COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE E?

COMEDK UGET –

Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts a state-level examination called COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) to offer admissions to interested candidates in engineering and medical degree courses offered by colleges/institutes that are affiliated to COMEDK.

COMEDK Uni-GAUGE E –

Uni-GAUGE E is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering courses at Participating Member Universities/institutions of ERA Foundation. The result of Uni-GAUGE E is accepted for the admission to courses like BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and B-Tech (Bachelor of Technology) at Uni -GAUGE participating member Universities/Institutions.

The exam will be conducted online at over 150 cities and 375 test centers across the country. Private and Deemed Universities will accept the COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE E scores for admission to B.E. and B.Tech programs at their institutions and universities.

Application Process

Candidates who have passed or are currently pursuing Intermediate/ PUC/ any equivalent exam as approved by AICTE are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
